Amsterdam, January 18, 2007
— CANSO, the global association of Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs), and industry partners today announced that L-3 Communications ESSCO, the largest and oldest ground-based radome company in the world, has joined CANSO as an associate member.
Since the company’s founding in 1961, L-3 ESSCO has installed more than 4,000 systems in more than 80 countries and offers a complete range of rigid radome types, including sandwich, space frame, solid laminate and dielectric. “We are delighted that this innovative company has joined the growing ranks of CANSO ATM technology providers,” said CANSO Secretary General Alexander ter Kuile. “We believe the role that high-technology companies such as L-3 Communications ESSCO will play in the overall development of next-generation ATM systems will become increasingly critical, not merely in providing technology but becoming evermore integrated into the development of a truly global ATM system.”
CANSO’s associate member network of ATM technology and service providers to the ANSP community now encompasses 34 companies.
