Demystifying GNSS

Why is there yet another publication on GNSS? To understand the reason you have to appreciate that it began from the very innocent question; “I have to install GNSS. How do I do it?” With all the publications available it still seems that implementing GNSS appears to be a daunting task. Admittedly, the GNSS industry, buried under a mountain of acronyms, can be very intimidating. Yet anyone can walk into a store and buy a GPS receiver and start using it with no special training at all. Implementing GNSS in an aviation context is more complex than just buying a receiver but it doesn’t have to be difficult. A basic understanding of GNSS for aviation is fundamental to making it easier.
