This year’s conference was the first CANSO event to be held in the region since the establishment of the Latin America and Caribbean CANSO CEO Committee (LAC3). The LAC3 is an ATM leadership body comprising ANSP CEOs from the region that work together to coordinate CANSO activities, promote industry collaboration between ANSPs, industry suppliers, CANSO, ICAO and other industry bodies, and represent the best interests of ATM in Latin America and the Caribbean on the global level. The LAC3 contributed significantly to the development of this year’s conference programme. Against the backdrop of increasing demand for air transport and mounting airspace capacity challenges, discussions focused on improving aviation safety, infrastructure and performance, Collaborative Decision Making (CDM), implementing RNAV/RNP, aviation’s effect on the environment, customer relations and stakeholder engagement. …
