On 3 and 4 December 2012, CANSO held its 3rd Middle East, Air Navigation Services Provider (ANSP), Airspace User & Stakeholder Engagement (MEAUSE) Conference in partnership with International Air Transport Association (IATA), in Amman hosted by the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC).
The CANSO MEAUSE Conference was followed by the first, and very successful, Middle East Customer Relationship Management Seminar jointly held and organised with IATA.
The conference brought together more than 100 stakeholders across the complete value chain including airspace users, Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs), airports, regulators, organisations and suppliers. They discussed progress on CANSO MEAUSE activities, shared experiences for best practice, evaluated emerging issues on regional and global level, and jointly took the next step towards successful regional stakeholder’s cooperation.
In his opening speech, H.E. Mohammad Amin Al Quran, Chairman MEC3, CANSO & Chief Commissioner, CARC emphasized the success and importance of this regional platform, which provides a unique opportunity for all stakeholders in the Middle East to engage with each other, discuss strategic plans as well as operational solutions and to share experience and best practice examples.
