CANSO's Communications

The aim of CANSO’s communications is at all times to promote the objectives of the Association and its Members, informing both Members and the wider ATM community in clear and exciting ways about our latest thinking and policies, news and industry developments. CANSO’s Communications supports the Workgroups in ensuring their work reaches a wide audience and engages with maximum effectiveness to further CANSO’s aim of improving ATM performance.

Chris Goater, Director of Communications

Chris Goater joined CANSO in November 2007, after three years at the UK Airport Operators Association as their Head of Media and Public Affairs. He was a research advisor to the Shadow Secretary of State for Transport and Environment in the UK parliament, a key member of the UK Sustainable Aviation Group, and has made numerous media appearances debating aviation issues.

    A swift visit to the Farnborough Airshow yesterday, for some business meetings. Towards the end of the afternoon, I was able to fulfill a personal ambition and view the last remaining airworthy Vulcan bomber, a British warplane that was retired after a long career, in the early 1980s.
