About CANSO's Middle East Regional Office

CANSO established its Middle East Regional Office in June 2009. As agreed by CANSO Members in the region, the Office focuses on pushing forward progress on Safety, Airspace Planning, Technology, and ANSP Cooperation.

Salem Jahdli, Director Middle East Affairs

Mr. Jahdli joined CANSO in June 2009 as Director Middle East Affairs on secondment from GACA Saudi Arabia. As well as leading CANSO activities in the Middle East, Mr. Jahdli is working to expand the Association’s presence in the region.

  • 9 Nov 2009Developing a 'RED SEA Vision' for ATM in the Middle East
    On the 1st and 2nd of November 2009, GACA of Saudi Arabia hosted the 2nd CANSO Seminar in Jeddah, attracting aviation community representatives from around the Middle East. In addition to reports and presentations, delegates agreed on a 'RED SEA Vision' for the region.
