Samantha Sharif Interim Director General

Samantha is responsible for managing CANSO's day-to-day operations working closely with the Executive Committee. She also supports the development and implementation of CANSO strategy and oversees the association's three Standing Committees.

Hester Lind Personal Assistant to the Director General
As well as supporting the Director General, Hester provides administrative support to CANSO meetings, activities, and governance compliance matters.

Industry Affairs

Maggie Geraghty Safety Programme Manager

As CANSO's Safety Programme Manager, Maggie leads the delivery of the Association's Safety Programme goals and initiatives. Maggie is on secondment from the FAA ATO, where she manages the Office of Independent Safety Assessment.

David Maynard Operations Programme Manager

David’s main role is to ensure the development of the Operations Standing Committee (OSC) work programme. He coordinates the implementation of the OSC's activities, working with CANSO Members and its Regional Offices. David also represents the OSC at CANSO events and liaises with industry stakeholders.

Communications, Marketing & Events

Timothy Hoy Head of Communications
Tim is responsible for the day-to-day running of the Communications department. His responsibilities include producing and developing CANSO publications, design and corporate identity, and website management.
Anouk Achterhuis Head of Events

Anouk is responsible for managing CANSO’s events department. Her responsibilities include the organisation and development of all major CANSO conferences and events, and supportive management for other CANSO event branding and marketing activities.

Ellen Van Ree Programme Manager

Ellen is responsible for supporting the organisation and development of the CANSO World ATM Congress.

Louise Loven Communications Coordinator

Louise’s responsibilities include website content management, assisting in the production of CANSO’s newsletters, brochures and documents, and database management.

Lisa Steiof Events and Marketing Assistant

Lisa supports CANSO's event & marketing activities. This includes daily event support, conference administration, marketing and branding activities, and e-commerce back office work.

Office & Member Relations

Esther Brouwer Office Manager

Esther is responsible for the overall administrative coordination of the CANSO offices. This includes finance, human resources, procurement and contract management. She also supports the Executive Committee and is in charge of Member relations.

Steve Rouse Finance Analyst

Steve is responsible for all internal and external financial matters, from day-to-day activities to management reporting.

Yvette de Klein Office Secretary
Yvette's main role is to provide general support to CANSO’s Office Manager; activities include Global ATM-net user management, maintaining the contact database and Work Group meeting coordination.

ICAO Liaison Office

Eugene Hoeven Director ICAO Affairs
Eugene represents CANSO and its Member ANSPs at ICAO, the world-wide forum for international civil aviation, and manages CANSO's interface with this specialised United Nations Organisation on a variety of strategic policy and regulatory issues affecting ATM.
Bernard Gonsalves Assistant Director Technical Affairs
Bernard helps represent the best interests of CANSO Member ANSPs at ICAO. He focuses on ATM technical/operations related issues, working closely with CANSO’s global Standing Committees and other aviation stakeholders.

Africa Regional Office

Boni Dibate Project Liaison Officer, Africa Region

Boni Dibate is CANSO's Project Liaison Officer for the Africa region. She is responsible for coordinating CANSO's projects in the region as well as increasing the association's presence by attracting new members.

Americas Regional Office

Javier Vanegas Director Latin American & Caribbean Affairs

Javier Vanegas is CANSO's Director Latin America and Caribbean Affairs. He is responsible for coordinating CANSO activities and expanding the association's membership in the region.

Asia-Pacific Regional Office

Chiang Hai Eng Director Asia-Pacific Affairs
Hai Eng is responsible for CANSO’s Asia Pacific Office in Singapore. He represents CANSO’s interests in the region and coordinates the activities of its Asia Pacific members to promote and facilitate the development of air navigation services in the region.

European Regional Office

Guenter Martis Director European Affairs
Guenter heads CANSO's activities in Europe. He represents ANSPs in Eurocontrol, the Industry Consultation Body, the SESAR Joint Undertaking Administrative Board, and co-chairs the EU Social Dialogue.
Vanessa Rullier-Francaud Manager Regulatory and Social Affairs
Vanessa supports CANSO's contribution to the EU Social Dialogue as well as several SES Mandates. Vanessa monitors developments in environment and safety, and assists with CANSO communications.
Dimitra Ballard European Communications and Administration Officer

Dimitra serves as a media point of contact on European Affairs. She assists in the development and implementation of the region's communication strategy and the maintenance of www.canso.org/europe. She also supports the organisation of information events and general office management.

Middle East Regional Office

Salem Jahdli Director Middle East Affairs
Mr. Jahdli joined CANSO in June 2009 as Director Middle East Affairs on secondment from GACA Saudi Arabia. As well as leading CANSO activities in the Middle East, Mr. Jahdli is working to expand the Association’s presence in the region.
