AEROTHAI and GISTDA jointly develop geo-informatics for air navigation

The signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between AEROTHAI and GISTDA, the Geo-informatics and Space Technology Development Agency, was held on 26 June 2015 at AEROTHAI, which was signed by Mrs. Sarinee Sangprasit, AEROTHAI President, and Dr. Anond Snidvongs, Executive Director of GISTDA. The MoU focuses on the cooperation on geo-information technology for designing appropriate routes and for setting air navigation aids on the accurate area which will encourage more efficiency of air navigation service.

Recently AEROTHAI has launched the project of Air Navigation Service Infrastructure Development with the objective to develop air navigation infrastructure of our country in order to match with new international standards and supply capability to support the growing air traffic volume in the future. AEROTHAI believes that geological survey, geological map being supported by GISTDA including the cooperation on geo-information management will enhance ability in providing air traffic control service in accordance with ICAO standard, while maintaining highest level of safety as priority.
