L'ENAC continues its international development in the ASEAN zone by training Indonesian air traffic controllers from AirNav Indonesia

In an effort to continuously strive to enhance the competencies of its human resources, Air Navigation Services Indonesia, known as AirNav Indonesia, signed a Cooperation Agreement with the French training institute, Ecole Nationale de l'Aviation Civile (ENAC).

The signing of this Agreement between the Director of AirNav Indonesia, Bambang Tjahjono and the President of ENAC, Marc Houalla was held on 7 April 2016 in the presence of:

  • The Indonesian Transport Minister, Mr Ignatius JONAN;
  • The French Minister of State for Foreign Trade, Mr Matthias FEKL;   
  • The French Ambassador to Indonesia, Ms Corinne BREUZE.

“The training will be conducted in two models, namely the Master Program in the field of Air Navigation Services Management held in Toulouse, France and Competency Enhancement training in the field of Air Navigation Services held in Indonesia.” Said Bambang. He also pinpointed the fact that through this agreement, AirNav Indonesia is supporting the government's program in improving flight safety".

He added that the "The scope of this Agreement is a training academy and training of Air Traffic Management professionals in accordance with ICAO international recommendations."
“We are very proud to have been chosen to deliver training to a major ASEAN Air Navigation Service provider. This partnership will help develop the next generation of aviation professionals in the ASEAN zone currently experiencing one of the world’s highest air traffic growth rates ”said Marc HOUALLA.
The Agreement, valid for a period of three years, is a follow-up of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) by the two parties signed on 10 March 2016 in Madrid, Spain.
