Intelcan completes factory acceptance tests for NAVAIDS at Kuwait Airport

5 May 2015

Intelcan announces successful completion of the factory acceptance test (FAT) for the Canadian CAT-IIIB navigational systems to be installed in Kuwait International Airport (KIA).

The systems consist of four localizers, four glide paths, and four low power DMEs to be installed for runways 15L/33R and 33L/15R; along with two high power DMEs, and two DVORs for terminal approach and en-route aids.

The SKYNAV ILS will serve two parallel runways, for CAT-IIIB operation in both directions.

The FAT was conducted on schedule and passed without observations, thus demonstrating technical compliance with the customer's strict requirements. Intelcan also showcased its systems' differentiating features allowing for intuitive operation and maintenance.

Commenting on this significant milestone, Michael Lang, CEO of Intelcan said "Kuwait is an important customer to us. We are delighted to now be their largest Navaids supplier, and proud to be providing KIA with our Canadian design and manufacturing know-how".
