CANSO Welcomes Teri Bristol and Maurice Georges to the CANSO Executive Committee

CANSO, the Civil Air Navigation Services Organisation, announces the appointment of Teri Bristol and Maurice Georges as two new members on the Executive Committee.

Ms Teri Bristol, Deputy Chief Operating Officer at FAA-ATO has been co-opted to the CANSO Executive Committee as a Member at Large following the recent retirement of Rick Ducharme.

Paul Riemens, Chairman of the CANSO ExCom said: “We are delighted to welcome Ms Bristol to the CANSO Executive Committee. The FAA-ATO is a leader in the field of Air Traffic Management and a strong supporter of CANSO. It is great to be able to ensure the continued engagement of the FAA-ATO in CANSO at the highest levels as we work to develop our Vision 2020 and hold our first World ATM Congress in February next year.”

Ms Bristol brings significant knowledge and expertise in leading, directing and managing Air Traffic and Technical Operations. Her responsibilities today include ensuring the safety, efficiency and security of air traffic operations across the entire National Airspace System.

Teri Bristol said: "I am honored to join the CANSO Executive Committee at this pivotal time. CANSO fulfils a vital role for the air traffic management industry and I look forward to being part of that.”

Maurice Georges has been elected as EC3 Chair and now represents the European region at the CANSO Executive Committee as an Ex Officio member.

Following Mr Patrick Dlamini’s recent departure, the CANSO Africa Region will announce its new Chair in November 2012.

Mr Riemens added: “I want to thank Rick Ducharme and Patrick Dlamini for their contributions to the Executive Committee which were very much appreciated. We are grateful for their input and wish them all the best.”

New elections for the CANSO Executive Committee will take place at the CANSO AGM in June 2013.
