NTT DATA Corporation’s Flight Procedure Design System “PANADES®” selected for Myanmar

NTT DATA Corporation’s The Flight Procedure Design System “PANADES®” was selected from the “The Project for Improvement of Nationwide Airport Safety and Security in the Republic of the Union of Myanmar” tender run as part of free financial aid by provided Japan International Cooperation Agency (hereinafter, JICA) in Republic of the Union of Myanmar (hereinafter, Myanmar). The system is one component of this project aimed at supporting the sustained economic growth of Myanmar. 

The system is planned to be set up and installed at local sites in Myanmar, with operation expected to begin in May 2014. 

This contract marks the fifth country that “PANADES®” has been installed at overseas after Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Lao PDR. 

Due to the recent economic growth of Myanmar, an increase in demand for flights this region is anticipated. JICA is providing free financial aid to support Myanmar in developing its public infrastructure and update processes to promote sustainable economic growth as well as to create a more efficient society. As a part of this initiative, JICA will assist in providing a safe and secure environment through upgrading systems such as flight procedure design systems, aviation security wireless facilities and X-ray equipment. 

JICA is providing free financial aid for the “The Project for Improvement of Nationwide Airport Safety and Security in the Republic of the Union of Myanmar” and invited tenders for equipment for use in Myanmar. NTT DATA’s “PANADES” system is one component of this project.
