Saudi Arabia Selects Thales NAVAIDS Across Multiple Airports

Thales will supply a total of 25 navaids to the General Authority of Civil Aviation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (GACA), for deployment across several of the Kingdom’s airports. 

This contract is part of the country’s continuing efforts to modernise current navigation surveillance capabilities, ensuring a significant improvement of safety and efficiency. 

The deployment of these Thales Navaids, is aimed at ensuring airports can continue to offer all-weather tactical, en-route navigation and approach services conformant to the highest Safety ICAO standards and provide safety and efficiency in the Saudi Airspace.

Thales has been a partner to GACA and for more than 30 years and is the Kingdom’s prime supplier of air navigations systems. This contract is testament to their renewed confidence in Thales as their system provider of choice for the provision of comprehensive and technically advanced ground based air navigation systems. With a base of over 7,000 units deployed worldwide, Thales is the world leader in the supply of Navaids.
